ಸುಳ್ಯದ ನೆಹರೂ ಮೆಮೋರಿಯಲ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಯುವ ಜನರು ಕುರಿತ ತಾಲೂಕು ಮಟ್ಟದ ಭಾಷಣ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯನ್ನು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ನೆಹರೂ ಯುವ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಯುವ ರೆಡ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ ಘಟಕದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನವೆಂಬರ್19 ರಂದು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಯಿತು. ಮುಂಬರುವ ಗಣರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂವಿಧಾನ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ ಪ್ರಯುಕ್ತ ದೇಶ ಭಕ್ತಿ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಯುವ ಜನತೆ ಕುರಿತ ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಹಿಂದಿ ಭಾಷೆಯ ಭಾಷಣ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯನ್ನು ನೆಹರೂ ಯುವ ಕೇಂದ್ರವು ತಾಲೂಕು, ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ, ರಾಜ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ಅದರ ಸುಳ್ಯ ತಾಲೂಕು ಮಟ್ಟದ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯು ಸುಳ್ಯದ ಎನ್ನೆಂಸಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಸುಳ್ಯದ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿ ಆಫ್ ಲಿಬರಲ್ ಎಜುಕೇಶನ್ ನ ಜತೆ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಕೆ ವಿ ಹೇಮನಾಥ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲ ರುದ್ರಕುಮಾರ್ ಎಂ ಎಂ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಕ್ಷೇಮ ಪಾಲನಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ರತ್ನಾವತಿ ಡಿ. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ಸುಳ್ಯ ತಾಲೂಕು ಮಟ್ಟದ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯ ಸಂಚಾಲಕಿ, ಕಾಲೇಜು ಯುವ ರೆಡ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ ಘಟಕದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಡಾ.ಅನುರಾಧಾ ಕುರುಂಜಿ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿ,
ನೆಹರೂ ಯುವ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಇದರ ಸಮನ್ವಯಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ರಘುವೀರ್ ಸೂಟರ್ ಪೇಟೆ ಪ್ರಾಸ್ತಾವಿಕವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ನೆಹರೂ ಯುವ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಸುಳ್ಯ ತಾಲೂಕು ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿ ಪ್ರತಿಭಾ ವಂದಿಸಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿ ಚೈತನ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು. ತೀರ್ಪುಗಾರರಾಗಿ ನೆಹರೂ ಮೆಮೋರಿಯಲ್ ಪದವಿ ಪೂರ್ವ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಹಿಂದಿ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕ ಕಿಶೋರ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಕಿರ್ಲಾಯ, ಆಂಗ್ಲ ಭಾಷಾ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕಿ ಅಶ್ವಿನಿ, ಸುಳ್ಯ ಶಾರದಾ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಆಂಗ್ಲ ಭಾಷಾ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕಿ ಸುಶ್ಮಿತಾ ಜಾಕೆ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಳ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಡಬ ತಾಲೂಕಿನಿಂದ 22 ಮಂದಿ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಾಳುಗಳು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
