NATIONAL PU FEST "NMC KALASANGAMA"

A colourful and memorable Cultural Fest, “NMC Kala Sangama 2K25,” was organized at NMC on 11/12/2025 (Thursday) for PU College students. The programme was presided over by Mr. JagadeeshAdthale, Member of the Academy of Liberal Education (R), Sullia. The event was inaugurated by Prof. Mithali P. Rai, Principal of NMPUC, Sullia. Dr. Rudrakumar M.M., Principal of NMC, Sullia, Dr. Mamatha K., IQAC Coordinator, Mrs. Rathnavathi D., Student Welfare Officer, and Mr. Vishnuprashanth, Cultural Coordinator, were also present on the dais.

The programme began with a prayer by Ms. Shreelaya, invoking the blessings of the Almighty. Ms. Chaithra of III B.Sc welcomed the gathering, and Mr. Adhithyan of III BBA proposed the vote of thanks. The day concluded with the valedictory programme, presided over by Dr. Rudrakumar M.M., who distributed the prizes to the winners. K. S. Gowda PU College, Ninthikallu, won the Championship trophy, while Rotary PU College, Sullia, secured the Runners-up trophy.

All the students participated enthusiastically and showcased their talents with great zeal. The programme concluded successfully due to the collective efforts of the teaching and non- teaching staff, student representatives, and students of the college.

2024-2025

NATIONAL PU FEST "NMC KALASANGAMA"

A colourful and memorable Cultural Fest ‘NMC Kalasangama’ was organized in our college on 26/11/2024, Tuesday for the PU College students.

Mr. Jagadeesh Adthale, Member of the Academy of Liberal Education (R), Sullia, presided over the program. Prof. Sumanth K.S, Principal of St. Michael’s PU College, Madikeri, was the chief guest and inaugurated the event. Dr. Rudrakumar M.M., Principal NMC Sullia, delivered the introductory speech. Mr. Chandrashekar Peralu, Administrative Officer of NMC, Mrs. Mithali P. Rai, Principal of NMPUC Sullia, Mrs. Chashmi Bhat, Prof. IQAC Coordinator Mrs. Mamatha K, Mrs. Rathnavathi D, Student Welfare Officer were also present on the stage. Mr. Vishnuprashanth welcomed the guests, and Mr. Hariprasad A V, Asst.Professor, Department of BBA, proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Shreelaya and her team prayed to the Almighty for the success of the event.

The day ended with the Valedictory programme, which was presided over by Dr. Rudrakumar M.M., Principal NMC Sullia, he distributed the prizes to winners. The Championship of the Cultural Fest was Nehru Memorial PU College Sullia and Sri Vidhya bagged the Runners up trophy. All the students participated enthusiastically and with great zeal.

The programme concluded successfully with the effort of all the teaching, non-teaching staffs, student representatives and all the students of the college.


TALENTS DAY

The Cultural Association conducted Talents Day on 14th November 2024 in a grand and traditional manner. All students actively participated and gave various performances such as Bharatanatyam, film dance, semi-classical, folk dance, Yakshagana, singing, skits, etc., based on the theme “Unity in Diversity.” The winners of the competition were: BCA – Champions, B.Com – First Runners-up, and B.A – Second Runners-up.

ONAM CELEBRATION

Cultural Association and Internal Quality Assurance Cell jointly organized Onam celebration on 13th September 2024 at K V G Shashtyabda Rangamandira. The programme was inaugurated by Mrs. Meenakshi Hemanath, Member, Academy Of Liberal Education (R) Sullia. Mr. Chandrashekar Peralu, the Administrative Officer NMC Sullia, Prof. Rudrakumar M M Principal, Mrs. Rathnavathi. D Student Welfare Officer, Dr. Mamatha. K. IQAC Co-ordinator was present in the programme.

As part of these cultural programmes was conducted in which the students were performed various cultural activities. Onam games were conducted on account of Onam celebration for staffs and students and winners were awarded with prizes. Maveli and the Singari Melam were the main highlights of the celebration. The Teaching , Non –Teaching faculties and students were present in the programme. Mr. Vishnuprashanth, Co-ordinator of Cultural Association welcomed the gathering. Mrs. Kripa A N HOD of Social Work and Mr. Hariprasd AV Department of Business Administration conducted master of ceremony.

2023-2024

CULTURAL COMPETITION "PARAMVAH"

A colourful and memorable Cultural Fest ‘Paramvah’ was organized in our college on 28/12/2023, Thursday for the PU College students.

Mrs. Shobha Chidananda, the Vice President of AOLE Sullia presided over the programme and inaugurated the programme. Dr. Rudrakumar M M, the Principal of our college delivered the introductory speech. Prof. Balachandra Gowda M, Academic advisor, NMC Sullia was the chief guest of the programme. IQAC Coordinator Mrs. Mamatha K welcomed the guests and Mr. Thoppeswamy D H, HOD Dept. of History proposed a vote of thanks. Mrs. Rathnavathi D, Student Welfare Officer, Mr. Vishnuprashanth B, Cultural Association Coordinator were present in the programme. Ms. Rathnasinchana and the team prayed to the almighty for the success of the programme.

The day ended with the Valedictory programme, which was presided over by Mr. Hemanath K V, the Secretary of AOLE and he distributed the prizes to winners. The Championship of the Cultural Fest was Rotary PU College and Nehru Memorial PU College Sullia bagged the Runners up trophy. All the students participated enthusiastically and with great zeal. Mr.Hariprasad, Asst.Professor, Dept. of BBA read out the list of prize winners. Dr.Anuradha Kurunji, Asst. Professor, Dept. of Kannada hosted the programme.

The programme concluded successfully with the effort of all the teaching, non-teaching staffs, student representatives and all the students of the college.

STATE LEVEL FOLK AND TRIBAL DANCE COMPETITION

The students of our college participated in the State Level Folk/Tribal Dance competition held at G.F.G.C Madikeri on 20/01/2023. 10 students participated in the event and bagged III prize for the Kamasale dance. Ms.Thrupthi K P, Assistant Professor Department of Mathematics escorted the team.

2022-2023

TALENTS DAY

On 13-12-2022 a colorful and memorable “Aantharya” talents day programme was organized by NMC Sullia. This event was a whole day long and was held in the KVG Shashtyabda Rangamandira of NMC. In this event all the students of each class took part. The grand event commenced with the arrival of the chief guest K V Hemanath, Secretary AOLE Sullia, Prof. Balachandra Gowda retired Principal, Academic Advisor NMC. Prof.Rudrakumar M M Principal inaugurated the programme by beating drums symbolically. It was accompanied by the Cultural Committee staff Mr.Vishnu Prashanth B, Mr. HariPrasad AV, Ms. Praneetha B P, Mrs. Harshakirana B R, Mr. Manoj Kumar, Ms. Thrupthi K P, Mrs.Ashwini and Student Cultural Secretaries Nishanth III BSW and Limitha III B.com. The students from various classes presented many performances like singing, dancing, skits, drawing, and playing instruments. Judgment was done by course co-ordinators. It was followed by the announcement of the winners. The first prize was bagged by B A, the second prize was secured by BSW and BBA and the third prize was secured by B Sc.

2021-2022

SULLIA HABBA

The cultural team of our college performed various dance forms like Bharatanatyam, Mohiniyattam, Lambani, Kangeelu and Kamsale on the occasion of Sullia Habba. 50 students participated in the program and exhibited their talents.

TALENTS DAY

Nehru Memorial College has conducted Talents Day cultural competition in a grand and traditional manner. The occasion has been inaugurated on 18th Friday of March 2022 in KVG Shashtyabda Rangamandira at 12 pm. Prof.Rudrakumar M M, Principal NMC, Sullia Inaugurated the programme. On this day 10 teams performed variety of Indian culture like Bharathanatyam, Mohiniyattam, Thiruvadira, Folk dance, Yakshagana,Singing etc. With the support and cooperation of principal and student welfare officer, IQAC coordinator and all the teaching staff the progarmme went on smoothly. Ms.Deeksha Cultural Secretary and Mr.Vishnu Prashanth.B, Lecturer, Department of Economics proposed welcome speech and vote of thanks. Mr. Hariprasad.A.V, Lecturer, Department of Business Administration, done master of ceremony.

SAAMSKRITHIKOTHSAVA

NMC students participated in the programme “SAAMSKRITHIKOTHSAVA 2020” organized by Sri Chennakeshava Temple, Sullia on the occasion of Chennakeshava Car Festival.

2019-2020

ONAM

Nehru Memorial College has conducted the Onam celebration in a grand and traditional manner. The occasion has been inaugurated on 14th Saturday, September 2019 in KVG Shashtyabda Rangamandira at 10 am. Mr. Shridhar Department of Commerce proposed a welcome speech. Dr. K Giridhar Gowda, Principal NMC Sullia inaugurated the programme. Architect. Akshay K C, Director AOLE Sullia and Prof. Balachandra Gowda, Academic Advisor NMC Sullia arrived as chief guests for this programme. On this day students performed Mohiniyattam, Ottamthullal, Vanjippat, Thiruvadira and Chande Mela. With the support and co-operation of the principal, student welfare officer and all the teaching staff. The programme went on smoothly. Mr. Vishnu Prashanth Department of Economics vote of thanks.

AANTHARYA

On 05-09-2019 a colorful and memorable “Aantharya” talents day programme was organized by NMC Sullia. This event was a whole day long and was held in the KVG Shashtyabda Rangamandira of NMC. In this event all the students of each class took part. The grand event commenced with the arrival of the chief guest Prof. Balachandra Gowda retired Principal, present Academic Advisor of NMC. DR.K Giridhar Gowda Principal inaugurated the programme by beating drums symbolically. It was accompanied by the Cultural Committee staff Mr.Vishnu Prashanth B, Mrs.Ashwini MS, Mr. HariPrasad AV, MR. Rakesh Naik, Ms.  Dhanya, Ms. Kavya K.G, Ms.Praneetha, Mr. Manoj Kumar, Student Cultural Secretaries Shahid III Bsc and Smitha III B.com A. It was A truly mesmerizing event as the students from various classes presented many programme there was a performance of singing, dancing, skitting, drawing, and playing instruments. The Course coordinators had given judgment with regard to different streams of our college. It was followed by the announcement of the winning student teams, the first prize was given to III Bsc, the Second prize was taken by II Bsc and the third prize was to II Bcom B Class. It was followed by a formal vote of thanks and ended with the singing of the National Anthem.
