Ambedkar Jayanthi was Celebrated by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell on 17th April, 2024 at Audio Visual Room. Mrs. Usha M P the head of the Dept of Mathematics inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. Dr. Rudrakumar M M, the Principal, presided over the programme. Dr. Mamatha K, IQAC Coordinator addressed with introductory speech. Mrs. Rathnavathi D, Student Welfare Officer was honorary present in the programme. Ms. Gana B D of II BA mastered the ceremony. Ms. Sujana Rai of I BA Proposed the vote of thanks and Ms. Shreelaya of I BA sung prayer song.
WORLD CONSUMER RIGHTS DAY 2023-24
On 15-03-2024 Department of Commerce and Commerce Association in collaboration with IQAC organized “World Consumer Rights Day Celebration” programme by inviting Mr. Shreehari K, Advocate ,Sullia.

Youth Day was celebrated in the college on 12 January 2024 by offering flowers to the picture of Swamy Vivekaknanda.
CONSTITUTION DAY 2023
The Department of Political Science has organized Constitutional Day celebration on 27/11/2023. The Oath taking ceremony was conducted by Dr. Mamatha K, HOD of Political Science. All the teaching, Non-teaching and the students were present in the programme. In order to commemorate the Constitutional day celebration quiz competition was organized by III B.A students followed by prizes.
National Legal Services Day Celebration 2023
On 09-11-2023 Department of Commerce and Commerce Association in collaboration with IQAC organized “National Legal Services Day Celebration” programme by inviting Mr. Vipul Neerpady Advocate Sullia as a resource person.
KANNADA RAJYOTSAVA 2023
Kannada Rajyothsava was celebrated in the college by singing Kannada Songs and by offering flowers on the picture of Kannada Matha.
National Unity Day 2023
On 31st October, 2023, Department of Business Administration in collaboration with IQAC, celebrated the “National Unity Day-31.10.2023” in the College. Prof. Rudrakumar M M., Principal of the college presides the function. On account of this day, Dr. Mamatha K ,HOD of Political Science dept. and IQAC co-ordinator dictated the oath to the students and Mrs. Anantha Lakshmi HOD of BBA Dept. take over the program. On this special day, BBA Dept. organizes the Collage making competition to all the students with the theme of “Unity in Diversity”. Total 14 teams of various streams were participated in this competition and Farzana and team of III BA won the First prize, Second and third prize bagged by Nuthan and team of III BSW and Megana and team of III BSW respectively.

International Food Day was celebrated by the Department of Physics in association with IQAC on 16th October 2023 at Audio Visual Room, NMC,Sullia. Mrs.Prameela.T, Block Health Education Officer, Sullia was the Resource person, delivered a informative talk. Mrs. Rathnavathi. D, SWO was the President of the program. Dr. Mamatha.K, IQAC coordinator was present in the program. Mr. Sathyaprakash.D, Science Coordinator & HOD of Physics welcomed the gathering and Mrs.Ashwini.K.C , Lecturer, Dept.of Physics delivered a vote of thanks.
International Translation Day 2023
The Department of English and IQAC of Nehru Memorial College, organized a workshop for students on translation on the occasion of “International Translation Day” on 3rd October 2023. Mrs. Chandravathi Baddadka, an alumnus of NMC and a professional translator, amateur writer and the journalist was the resource person of the workshop. GANDHI JAYANTHI CELEBRATION 2023
Department of History, Gandhi Vichara Vedike Sullia and NSS Wing NMC, Sullia Conducted Gandhi Jayanti Celebration and Gandhi Nadige from Sri Hari Complex to Gandhivana Sullia on 02.10.2023 and Guest Talk on ‘Gandhi Smarane’ by Retired Principal, NMC and Academic Advisor Prof. M Balachandra Gowda gave talk on Mahatma Gandhi.
INTERNATIONAL DAY OF DEMOCRACY 2023
The Department of Political Science and IQAC jointly organized International Democracy Day on September 15th 2023 at college auditorium. Prof. Rudrakumar. M M Principal, Nehru Memorial College was presided over the function. Dr. Mamatha. K, Head of the Department of Political science gave a talk on “The Preamble of the Indian Constitution”. Mrs. Rathnavthi D, Student Welfare Officer, Mr. Thippeswamy. D.H, Head of the Department of History were present in the programme. The Teaching, Non-teaching and the students took the pledge of the day.

TEACHER’S DAY CELEBRATION 2023
The Student Welfare Council and IQAC organized a Teacher’s Day Celebration on 5th September 2023 at the college auditorium. Prof. Rudrakumar. M M Principal, Nehru Memorial College has presided over the programme. Sri. K.R. Gopalakrishna, the Alumni and Rtd. Principal of S.S.P.U.College, Pernaje was the chief guest of the programme. Prof. M. Balachandra Gowda Academic Advisor was the honourable guest of the programme. Mrs. Rathnavathi. D. Student Welfare Officer delivered an introductory talk about the programme. Dr. Mamatha. K. IQAC Co-ordinator, Dr. Vishwanatha. K. T., President of Alumni Association were present in the programme. The students performed cultural programmes as part of the programme. Mr. Josbin Baabu of III B Com, Ms. Nireeksha of III BA, Ms. Gana of II BA, Ms. Anwaya of II B.Com. has taken the initiative to organize the programme. As a token of love and respect the students offered mementoes to all the teaching and non-teaching faculties.

INERNATIONAL COCONUT DAY The Nature Club and the IQAC jointly celebrated International Coconut Day on 2nd September 2023 at college premises. The programme was inaugurated by Prof. Sathyaprakash D, Science Course Coordinator and the Head of the Department of Physics. Prof. Rudrakumar M M, Principal Nehru Memorial College was presided over the function. Mr. Kuladeep P. P coordinator of Nature Club welcomed the gathering. Dr. Mamatha. K, IQAC Co-ordinator proposed the vote of thanks. All the teaching and non-teaching staffs and students were present in the programme. As a part of the programme Essay and Quiz competitions were conducted for the students.
National Sports Day 2023
Department of Physical Education and Internal Quality Assurance Cell jointly organised National Sports Day on Tuesday 29th August 2023. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Chidananda K.V, President, Academy of Liberal Education ® Sullia. The Student Welfare Officer Mrs. Rathnavathi. D gave the introductory talk. In this programme Sri . Radhakrishna Manibettu, retired Physical Education Director of Nehru Memorial College, Mr.Ramesh former National Weight lifter, Mr. Doddanna Baremelu Rtd. Physical Education Director, these three achievers were honoured for their valuable contribution to the field of sports and games. Prof. Balachandra Gowda, the Academic Advisor and Dr. Mamatha K IQAC Co-ordinator were present in the programme. As the part of National Sports Day 5km cross country race was organized for students and winners were awarded. The Physical Education Director Mr. Seetharama M D welcomed the gathering. Mrs. Kripa A N, HOD of Social Work delivered vote of thanks. Mrs. Bhavya P M, HOD of English compered the programme. The teaching and non-teaching staff and students were present in the programme.
