Mega Photography Contest was held on October 2023
Mega Photography Contest a photography competition was organized by the Science Association on 24th, 25th and 27th October 2023. All B.Sc. students were participated in this competition and showcased their talents.
Inauguration program of Science Association
Inauguration program of Science Association was held on 26th September 2023 Ms.Pranavi M, Science Teacher, Junior College, Sullia was the inaugurator. Prof. M Balachandra Gowda, Rtd Principal & Academic advisor, NMC Sullia delivered motivating speech. Mrs. Rathnavathi D, Incharge- Principal & Student Welfare officer, NMC Sullia presided over the programme. Mr. Sathyaprakash D, Convener, Science association & HOD of Physics, and student coordinators, HOD and faculty of all the science departments, non-teaching staffs and B.Sc. students were present on the occasion.
Industrial visit to Mysore
The Science Association conducted one day industrial visit & study tour for the final year B.Sc (PMC/Cs) students to Mysore on 20th June 2022.
They visited JK Tyre factory Mysore, St. Philomena’s Cathedral Mysore, GRS Fantasy Park & KRS Brindavana. 21 students and 5 staffs were attended the visit.

Science Fest INSPIRO
An intra-college science fest INSPIRO 2022 was organized on 30th May 2022 from 09.30 AM in College Auditorium by Science Association, NMC Sullia. Prof Balachandra Gowda M, Retd. Principal & Academic Advisor of NMC Sullia Gowda inaugurated the function by displaying INSPIRO 2022 text in A white drawing sheet through a chemical reaction. The program was fully arranged by final year B.Sc. students.
Prof Balachandra Gowda M delivered motivating speech on this occasion about scientific researches. Mr. Sathyaprakash D, Science course coordinator of NMC Sullia and Mrs. Ratnavathi D, Principle in-charge & student welfare officer and the science faculty were present on the occassion. Ms. Ashreetha KM was felicitated by the science association for securing 8th Rank in B.Sc examination of Mangalore University,2021.
The purpose of this programme was to bring out the personal talents of the students in scientific manner. The 1st & 2nd year student were divided in to five groups namely Gravity clusters, Cyber Squad, Kalam’s Kids, Green Warriors & The Refreshers. The events were Bloom (Ice breaker), Brain Rain (Lab Event), Innovate (Creativity), Snap Tale (Spot Photography), Shading Sparkles (Pencil Sketch Cartoon), Gyan Ki Rang (Rangoli), Hidden Quest (Treasure Hunt), Mind Martians (Quiz), Find me out (Error Detection) and Kung Fu – The Battle (Multi Tasking). The students were given prizes. The participants were enthusiastic.
SCIENCE MODELLING COMPETITION 2022
The Science Association hosted a Science model competition on 25-01-2022 for B.Sc students. Mr Balachandra Gowda, Academic advisor of NMC and Mr Rudrakumar M M, Principal of NMC have inaugurated the program. There were 50 teams from the B.Sc stream had been participated actively. Mr Damodara, Mrs Vinutha, Faculties of NMPUC, Sullia and Mr Rasheed, Depatment of MSW of NMC Sullia were the judges of the competition. Mr Sathya Prakash D, head of Physics department and Science association and the members of science association were the conveners of this entire program.
FRESHER’S DAY CELEBRATION
The Science Association organised a fresher’s day celebration on 25-11-2021. Mr Sanjeeva K, Assistant professor head of the department of Kannada, NMC Sullia was the chief guest of the program. Mr Rudrakumar M M, the principal was the president of the program. Mrs Rathnavathi D, Student welfare officer, staff of the science association were present in this program. Final B.Sc students conducted various events for I & II B.Sc students. Mr Abhijith K J and Shruthi Jayaraj of III B.Sc hosted the program.
SCIENCE QUIZ COMPETITION 2021
The science association hosted a science quiz competition on 23-11-2021 at the audio-visual hall for B.Sc students. The whole strength of the students is Classified into 7 teams. Mr Abhijith K J was quiz master. The Team headed by Miss Mayamadhavan got first place in the competition. All the staffs and members of the science association were present in this program.
ALUMNI TALK
The science association conducted an “Alumni Talk” on 23 November 2021 for B.Sc students. Our proud alumina Ms Shushmitha N T was the Resource Person. Staffs and members of the Science departments were present in this program Mr Abhijith of III B.Sc welcome the gathering and Mr Adesh of III B.Sc concluded the program.
SCIENCE FEST INSPIRO-2020
Conducted a Science fest INSPIRO-2020 on 21-01-2020. Prof Balachandra Gowda, Academic advisor and retired principal of NMC, Sullia inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. Final B.Sc students Carred out 13 different events for I & II B.Sc students. Dr. Thara Roshan, Department of Anesthesia, KVG Medical college Sullia was the chief guest of the program.

SCIENCE MODEL COMPETITION 2020
The Science Association hosted a Science model competition on 04-01-2020 for B.Sc students. There were 43 teams with each team consists of 3 members, had been participated actively. Mr. Damodara, Mr. Kishore Kumar and Mrs. Rathnavathi, Faculties of NMPUC, Sullia were the judges of the competition. Mrs. Usha M.P. Head of The Mathematics Department and Science association was the convener.

ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION
The Science Association conducted an Essay writing competition for the Science students on the topic “sustainable technologies for environmental conservation” on 28-01-2020 for B.Sc. students.

ONE DAY STUDY TOUR
Conducted one day Study tour for III B.Sc students on 27-12-2019. There were 30 students with three faculty members Mr. Sathyaprakash D, Ms Pavana B., Ms Divyashree B of science departments visited various places in Wayanad.
INTRA COLLEGE INTER-COLLEGE SCIENCE FEST-UTKRANTHI 2K18
An INTRA COLLEGE- Inter Unit Science Fest programme was conducted by the science association on 19/01/2018 at Nehru memorial college sullia. The programme was inaugurated by Dr.K.Giridhara Gowda,Principal,Nehru Memorial college, Sullia.The members of science association and all the science students were participated in that programme. In this Programme every students from science departments participated in different events assigned to them.
The Chief guest of valedictory and Prize Distribution was Dr.LEELADHAR D.V. Administrative Officer,KVG AyurvedaMedical College & Hospital,Sullia. He has distributed the prizes for winners of the various events.

INTER-COLLEGE SCIENCE MODEL EXIBITION
A Science Model competition/Exibition programme was conducted by the science association on 10/02/2018 at Nehru memorial college sullia. The programme was inaugurated by Dr.K.Giridhara Gowda, Principal, Nehru Memorial College, Sullia. The members of science association and all the science students were participated in that programme. In this Programme every students from science departments participated with different models.
Venue: College science Laboratories.

In this programme parents and teacher met together and shared the current year status of the science students in studies evaluated.All the science faculty of NMC college were present in this programme and shared their thoughts with the parents.Sathyaprakash D. coordinator of science wing given information of the college and current facilities of the college and how the students can use the department laboratories for studies.
Guest Lecture Program
A guest lecture programme was conducted by the science association on 13/08/2017 at Nehru memorial college sullia.The programme was inaugurated by Dr.Shridar K , Proff and HOD dept of Mathematics, KVG Engineering college sullia.The members of science association and all the science students were participated in that programme.In this guest lecturing occasion Dr. Shridar K given lecturing about the topic: “Development of science in recent years” for two and more hours. Acording to this programme all of the science students of NMC got clear idea about the science and also got knowledge what to do in their future.
