Dr.Vijayalakshmi N.S was the invited guest speaker for one day faculty development workshop at Sullia First-Grade College where she delivered a guest talk on Research MEthodology dated 10/11/2023 for 39 faculties for the institute. Dr.Jayashri k, IQAC coordinator of GFGC Sullia welcomed the gathering, Principal Sathish kumar K R felicitated Dr.VijayalakshmiNS for the two hour intensive research talk with specific focus on research article writing.
Research Paper Published At International Journal of Creative Research
Research Paper Presented At National Conference
Mr. Rahul A.R of final year BBA presented a research paper titled “ A Conceptual Analysis of Coffee Consumption Pattern Playing a Deterministic Role Towards Intelligence” at a National Conference on April 19th, 2023 at St.Aloysius College, Mangalore. This research paper is a part of the project work which is a work in progress under the able guidance of Dr.Vijayalakshmi N.S., research cell head and assistant professor department of economics.
Research Article Writing - Tools and Techniques A motivational talk by Research Cell Head Dr.Vijayalakshmi N.S
A program towards encouraging faculties of the institute on research article writing, the research cell under the enabled guidance of Dr.Vijayalakshmi N.S unleashed the perils of research article writing on September 20th, 2022 at the institute’s audio-visual room. The faculties attentively took part in the session led by academic advisor Rtd Prof Balachandra Gowda K and the functioning president, the institute’s principal Prof Rudrakumar M.M.
Staff club secretary Mr.Thippeswamy D.H welcomed the gathering and Mr.Hariprasad proposed the vote of thanks for the session.
RESEARCH METHODS – TOOLS AND TECHNIQUES A guest talk at Government First Grade Colllge Uppinangady
Dr.Vijayalakshmi N.S was the invited guest speaker at Uppinangady First-Grade College where she delivered a guest talk on research methods – tools and techniques dated 17/08/2022 for bachelor of social work students. Dr.Nandeesh Y.D, HOD of the social work department, GFGC Uppinangady welcomed the gathering which consisted of staff, students, Principal Dr.Shekhar, and IQAC coordinator Mr.Dasharath KT.
Guest Talk on Research Methodology “Project Report writing”
Dr. Vijayalakshmi N.S, Assistant professor and Head of Department of Economics, Coordinator of Research cell was the invited resource person for a one-day workshop dated 6th July 2022 on Project Report Writing for Postgraduate Students of Social Work, St.Philomena College, Puttur.Dakshin Kannada. The session covered the do’s and don’t of project report writing.

ESTUARINE ECOSYSTEM – ECOLOGY AND CONSERVATION
On 23rd July 2021, a National Level Webinar was organized by the Department of Botany, Zoology in association with Nature Club, IQAC and Research Cell. The resource person Dr.Murugan S., Assistant Professor (transient) Department of Zoology, Bangalore University was introduced to the gathering by the institute research cell coordinator Dr.Vijayalakshmi N.S.
Dr.Murugan S. spoke exquisitely on the estuarine ecosystem with its implication on Ecology and Conservation. The program was presided by Dr.Poovappa Gowda K, the principal of the Institute. The student welfare officer Mr.Rudra Kumar M.M welcomed the gathering and Mrs. Rathnavati D, the institute IQAC coordinator was also present in the webinar.
All academic teaching staff of respective departments along with 283 participants from all over India took an active part in the two-hour webinar, scheduled from 11.00 a.m that took its due course from the audio-visual room of the institute.
ONE DAY FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
On the 23rd January 2021, a one day faculty development program was organized by Dr.Vijayalakshmi N.S, research cell coordinator as part of research cell activities for the year 2021-22. The invited guest speaker Dr.M.Vijay Kumar, assistant professor, NGSM institute of Pharmaceutical sciences, nitte (deemed to be university) spoke vehemently on the relevance of ethics in the field of research with special emphasis on plagiarism checks to be adapted and followed.
The program was presided by our principal Dr.Poovappa Gowda K. The student welfare officer Mr.Rudra Kumar M.M welcomed the gathering and Mrs.Rathnavathi D, IQAC coordinator felicitated the guest speaker. All academic teaching staff were diligently present for the program held from 11.00 am onwards at the audio – visual room of the institute.
