Harmony Day – Oath Taking Ceremony
The Harmony Day Oath Taking Ceremony was organized on 20th August, 2026 with great enthusiasm and a strong message of unity, peace, equality, and social harmony. Dr. Mamatha K, IQAC Coordinator administered the oath ceremony. Students and staffs received oath on harmony day. The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the importance of respecting diversity and maintaining peaceful relationships in society.
Independence Day 2026
The Independence Day Celebration was organized with great patriotic spirit and enthusiasm at the institution. The programme commenced with the flag hoisting ceremony by the President of AOLE ® Sullia, Dr. K. V. Chidananda, who unfurled the National Flag with pride and honour. The gathering respectfully stood for the National Anthem, creating a solemn and patriotic atmosphere.
FDP on Future Skill Edge Programme
Internal Quality Assurance Cell organized Future Skill Edge Programme on Artificial
Intelligence and Cyber Security Skills is organized on 6 th August, 2026 for faculties. Mr.Subramani P V, Senior Engagement Associate, Future Tech & CSR Programme, Bharath Care was the resource person. The programme was presided by Dr. Rudrakumar M M, the principal and Dr. Mamtha K, IQAC Coordinator welcomed and presented introductory speech.
Anti-Drug Awareness Programme
An Anti-Drug Awareness Programme was organized at Nehru Memorial College, Sullia on 29 July, 2026 in association with Taluk Administration and Police station sullia forcreating awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and encouraging them to lead a healthy, drug-free life.
The chief guest and inaugurator Ms. Bhagirathi Murulya, Hon’ble MLA, highlighted the growing menace of drug abuse among youth and urged students to stay away from addictive substances. She encouraged them to focus on education, character building, and nation-building.
The guest of honour, Ms. Manjula T, Tahshildar of Sullia Taluk administered an anti-drug pledgeto all students. The circle inspector of Sullia Mr. ThimmappaNaik, delivered an informative session on the legal consequences of drug trafficking and substance abuse. Mr. Santhosh B, Police Sub-inspector, Sullia released the pamphlets for creating awareness about “SAY NO TO DRUGS, CHOOSE HEALTH, CHOOSE LIFE”
Mr. ChandrashekaraPeralu, the administrative officer of our college, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of discipline, moral values, and making responsible life choices.Dr.Rudrakumar M M, the principal of our college reinforced the importance of leading a healthy, responsible, and drug-free life.
Dr.Mamatha K, welcomed the dignitaries and Dr.Anuradha K P, proposed the vote of thanks.
Orientation Programme 2026-27
Orientation programme for newly joined students for the academic year 2026-27 was
organized on 20 th March, 2026. Mr. Hemanath K V, Secretary of AOLE ® Sullia was
presided and inaugurated the function. Mr. Chandrashekara Peralu Administrative Officer
was the chief guest of the programme, Dr. Rudrakumar M M, Principal of NMC, Dr.
Mamatha K, IQAC Coordinator were present in the programme. During the session the
Principal gave information on college rules and regulations to students.
