Women’s Day Celebration
Dr. Rudrakumar M M, The Principal, presided over the function. Dr. Geetha Doppa, Prof. & HOD of OBG, KVGMCH Sullia was the resource person. Mrs. Rathnavathi D, Student Welfare Officer welcomed the gathering and Dr. Mamatha K, IQAC Coordinator proposed the vote of thanks. Mrs. Bhavya P M, HOD of English compered the programme and Ms. Shrilaya of II BA sung the prayer song. All female faculty were present in this programme.
Dakshina Kannada and Kodagu district Arebhashe cultural competitions and seminar
Nehru Memorial College, Sullia has taken initiative to organise Dakshina Kannada and Kodagu district cultural competitions and seminar in association with Karnataka Arebhashe Samskruthi Mathu Sahitya Academy, Government of Karnataka on 05-12-2024 and 06-12-2024. On 5th December there were cultural competitions for PUC and degree students and the 6th December there were seminars on Arebhashe literature and culture.
The president of Arebhashe Academy Mr. Sadananda Mavaji, the registrar Mr. Chinnaswamy, taluk co-ordinator Mr. Chandrashekar Peralu, members of the academy, Mr. Hemanath K V, the secretary of Academy of Liberal Education® Sullia, the principal Dr. Rudrakumar M M, SWO Mrs. Rathnavathi D, IQAC Coordiantor Dr. Mamatha K, the convener of college Arebhasehe committee Mr. Sanjeeva K and members and faculty and studentsa present in this programme.

Drug Abuse Prevention Programme
Internal Quality Assurance Cell and NCC jointly organized Drug Abuse Prevention Programme on 23-11-2024 at college auditorium. Dr. Narendra, Dept. Psychiatrist, KVGMCH Sullia invited as the resource person and he addressed the students about the drug abuse and its effects on health.
Vigilance Awareness programme
Vigilance Awareness programme was organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell on 23rd November, 2024 at A V Room. Dr. Rudra Kumar M M, Principal of the college presided over the programme. Mr. Santhosh B P, PSI of Sullia Police Station was the resource person of the programme. He spoke about awareness on drug abuse, cyber-crime and its prevention and road safety measures and responsibility of youth to follow said measures. Dr. Mamatha K, the IQAC coordinator, Mrs, Rathnavathi D Student Welfare officer were present on this programme.
International Democracy Day
International Democracy Day was celebrated on 15 September 2024 under the banner of Internal Quality Assurance Cell. The students and faculty participated in All Karnataka Human Chain Campaign organized by the Taluk administration Sullia. The students participated wearing dresses representing different culture of Karnataka in this campaign. During the event students showcased the placards related to Democracy. The college received Best Performer Award of human chain.
