A Campaign on Drug Addiction Free Dakshina Kannada District - 2023 - 24
IQAC and Anti Drug Cell of NMC jointly organized an awareness programme on Drug Addiction on 13th June 2024 for students. Dr. Rudrakumar MM, Principal of the college presided over the programme. Mrs. Kripa A N, HOD of BSW has given an informative talk on effects of drug addiction on mental and physical health. Mrs. USha M P HOD of mathematics welcomed the gathering. Mr. Hariprasad A, Asst. Prof. of Business Administration proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Rathna Sinchana of 3rd B.Com prayed and Dr. Mamatha K HOD of Political Science mastered the ceremony.
ONE DAY TRAINING PROGRAMME ON COMPETITIVE EXAM -2023 - 24
Internal Quality Assurance Cell in Collaboration with Vidyamatha Academy Sullia organised one-day training programme on competitive examinations on 2nd March 2024 at College Auditorium. The programme was inaugurated by Prof. M Balachandra Gowda, Academic Advisor NMC Sullia. Resource persons of the programme were Mr. Aravinda Chokkadi, Trainer Vidyamatha Academy Sullia and Mr..Bhagesh Rai, Executive Director Vidyamatha Academy, Sullia. Dr. Rudrakumar M M, the Principal presided over the programme. Mrs. Chandravathi Baddaaka, PRO of Vidyamatha Academy Sullia and Mrs. Rathnavathi D Student Welfare Officer of our college were present in the programme. Dr. Mamatha K IQAC Coordinator delivered welcome speech, Mr. Kuladeep P, Head Dept of Botany proposed vote of thanks and Mrs. Bhavya P M, Head Dept. of English taken initiative to organise the programme. Mis. Gana B A of II BA mastered the ceremony.
National Unity Week 2023
As per the circular from the Department of Collegiate Education, National Unity Week 2023 was organised in the college from 19th November to 25th November 2023 for students to make aware of the unity.
Language Compatibility Day
As part of the National Unity Day, Language Compatibility Day was celebrated on 21st November, 2023. Mrs. Mithali P Rai, Principal N M P U College Sullia was the guest of the programme. Mr. Rudrakumar M M, Principal, Mrs. Rathnavathi D, Student welfare officer, Dr. Mamatha K, IQAC Coordinator were present in the programme. Mrs. Bhavya P M, HOD of English has taken initiative to conduct the programme.
Cultural Unity Day 2023
As part of National Unity Week 2023, Cultural Unity Day was organised on 23rd November 2023. Mr. Rudrakumar M M, the Principal of the college presided over the function. College Academic Advisor Prof. Balachandra Gowda, Student Welfare Officer Mrs. Rathnavathi D, IQAC Coordinator Dr. Mamatha K were presented in the Programme. Mr. Vishnuprashanth B, Cultural Coordinator has taken initiative to organise the programme.
Awareness About Special Facilities For Minorities
As part of National Unity Week 2023, Awareness about Special Facilities for Minorities was organised on 24rd November 2023 . The resource person of the programme, Mr. Mohammad Saddam, Hostel Superintendent of BCWD, Sullia, gave information about the govt. facilities for minority students. Mr. Rudrakumar M M, the Principal of the college presided over the function. College Student Welfare Officer Mrs. Rathnavathi D was present in the Programme, IQAC Coordinator Dr. Mamatha K. has taken initiative to organise the programme.
Women’s Day
As part of National Unity Week, Women’s day was conducted on 24th November,2023. Mrs. Harini Sadashiva, Principal of Sandeep Special School, Sullia was the guest of the programme. Mr. Rudrakumar M M, the Principal and Mrs. Rathnavathi D, Student Welfare officer present in the programme. Dr. Mamatha K IQAC Coordinator has taken initiative to organise this programme.
Environment Protection Day
As part of National Unity Day 2023, the Environment Protection Day was organised on 25th November 2023. Mrs. Deepashree B K, lecturer in Botany, N M P U College Sullia was the guest of the programme. Dr. Mamatha K, IQAC Coordinator presided over the function. Mrs. Bhavay P M, Member of IQAC was present in this programme. Mr. Kuladeep P P, coordinator of the Nature Club and Student Secretary of Nature Club Pavithrakshi K B of III B.sc have taken initiative to organise this programme.
Vigilance Awareness Week 2023
Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the College organized an awareness programme on “Eradication of Corruption” on 08-11-2023 to observe vigilance awareness week 2023, at Ajjavara High School as part of the MOU between Ajjavara Grama Panchayat for the parents and students of Ajjavara High School.
The Head teacher of the high school Mr. Gopinath Methadka presided over the programme. Mr. Rudrakumar MM, Principal was the guest of honour and addressed with introductory talk. Dr. Mamatha K, HOD of Political Science and IQAC Coordinator was the resource person of the programme. Mr. Sanjeeva K, HOD of Kannada led the Pledge taking ceremony.
Mr. Shridara V, Dept. of Commerce, welcomed the gathering. Ms. Sushmitha of III BSW proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Anvaya of II B.Com mastered the ceremony. Ms. Shreelaya of I BA sung the prayer song. Mr. Vishnu Prashant B, Dept. of Economics, Mr. Mohan V, member of SDMC were present in the programme.
ONAM CELEBRATION 2023
Cultural Association and Internal Quality Assurance Cell jointly organized Onam celebration on 31st August 2023 at K V G Shashtyabda Rangamandira. The programme was inaugurated by Ar. Akshay KC, General Secretary Academy Of Liberal Education (R) Sullia. Prof. M Balachandra Gowda, the Academic Advisor, Prof. Rudrakumar M M Principal, Mrs. Rathnavathi. D Student Welfare Officer, Dr. Mamatha. K. IQAC Co-ordinator were present in the programme. As part of this cultural programmes were conducted in which the students were performed various cultural activities. Onam games were conducted on account of Onam celebration for staffs and students and winners were awarded with prizes. Maveli and the Singari Melam were the main highlights of the celebration. The Teaching , Non –Teaching faculties and students were present in the programme. Mr. Vishnuprashanth, Co-ordinator of Cultural Association welcomed the gathering. Mrs. Kripa A N HOD of Social Work and Mr. Hariprasd AV Department of Business Administration conducted master of ceremony.
TEACHER’S DAY CELEBRATION 2023
The Student Welfare Council and IQAC organized a Teacher’s Day Celebration on 5th September 2023 at the college auditorium. Prof. Rudrakumar. M M Principal, Nehru Memorial College has presided over the programme. Sri. K.R. Gopalakrishna, the Alumni and Rtd. Principal of S.S.P.U.College, Pernaje was the chief guest of the programme. Prof. M. Balachandra Gowda Academic Advisor was the honourable guest of the programme. Mrs. Rathnavathi. D. Student Welfare Officer delivered an introductory talk about the programme. Dr. Mamatha. K. IQAC Co-ordinator, Dr. Vishwanatha. K. T., President of Alumni Association were present in the programme. The students performed cultural programmes as part of the programme. Mr. Josbin Baabu of III B Com, Ms. Nireeksha of III BA, Ms. Gana of II BA, Ms. Anwaya of II B.Com. has taken the initiative to organize the programme. As a token of love and respect the students offered mementoes to all the teaching and non-teaching faculties.
Orientation programme
Orientation programme was organised for the new students admitted to degree courses of the year 2023-24 on 23-08-2023 at college auditorium. The Programme was inaugurated by Mrs. Shobha Chidananda Vice President of AOLE® Sullia and also inaugurated the newly started BCA Degree Course. The programme was presided over by Dr. K V Chidananda, President AOLE and called upon the students to create a better future by using the best facilities available in the college. Mr. Hemanath K V Secretory of AOLE, Prof. M Balachandra Gowda Academic Advisor, Mr. Chinnappa Gowda, President PTA and Dr. K T Vishwanath, President Alumni Association were present in the programme. Dr. Mamatha K, IQAC Coordinator welcomed the programme. Mrs. Rathnavathi D Student Welfare Officer proposed vote of thanks.
