Department of Physics along with IQAC Conducted VISION in FOCUS, a Photography Contest to the students on behalf of World Photography day on 19th August 2025 in the Audio Visual Room.

All the participants have described their favourite photos beautifully and showcased their creativity and photographic skills with this programme.

Mr. Vinay K, Lecturer in Economics, NMPUC Sullia, Mrs Geetha. N, Lecturer in Political Science, NMPUC Sullia, and Mrs. Umashree Prabhu, Lecturer in Mathematics, NMPUC Sullia was the judge for the competition.

Dr. Mamathe K, IQAC Coordinator, NMC, Sullia, Prof. Sathyaprakash D, HOD of Physics, Mrs. Ashwini K C, Lecturer, Department of Physics and  students from different streams were present in the programme.

Objective of this programme is to encourage students to learn innovative techniques and improve their technical and creative abilities.

BSc Students have actively participated in an inter-collegiate UG Fest organised by the Physics Association, Department of Studies in Physics, Mangalore University, Konaje on 24th April 2025

Science Model exhibition and Competition was conducted by Science Association on 13-04-2024 at all the science laboratories
International Food Day was celebrated by the Department of Physics in association with IQAC on 16th October 2023 at Audio Visual Room, NMC,Sullia. Mrs.Prameela.T, Block Health Education Officer, Sullia was the Resource person, delivered a informative talk.

Mrs. Rathnavathi. D, SWO was the President of the program. Dr. Mamatha.K, IQAC coordinator was present in the program. Mr. Sathyaprakash.D, Science Coordinator & HOD of Physics welcomed the gathering and Mrs.Ashwini.K.C , Lecturer, Dept.of Physics delivered a vote of thanks.

Student participation in “PHYSICA 2023”, competitions conducted by the Department of Physics, Mangalore University, Konaje on 26th May 2023 Miss Shanvitha A.G of III BSc secured 2nd place in Seminar competition and Miss Sinchana C.V and Mr. Charan.M secured 2nd place in Photography competition.

On 28-01-2023, Saturday at 10.30 AM, the Department of Physics and Mathematics organized a Guest Talk on ‘Black Holes’ by Master Vihaan Dowwray, Melbourne, Australia.
