Book Release Function
Department of Economics and Planning and Forum organized a text book release function on works by Dr. Prabbhakara Shishila on 20/01/2021 at College Auditorium.
Prof Balachandra Gowda, Academic Advisor, NMC Sullia and Prof.Jyothsna Nagapattna, Principal Shree Sharadha Women’s College ,Sullia was invited as the chief guest and inaugurator of the program. In this programme, two new text books written by Dr. Prabhakara Shishila “Business Economics” and “Monetary Economics” for I B.com and II BA respectively were released.
Dr. Prabhakara Shishila, retired principal, Nehru Memorial College, Sullia was guest of honor for the program. Principal of Nehru Memorial College Dr. Poovappa Gowda K presided over the function and expressed his words as “All Economics works of Dr. Prabhakara Shishila are spread over the Karnataka”.
Mr. Vishnu Prashanth.B, HOD dept .of economics, Dr. Vijayalakshm.N.S and Ms.Aksha.K and other staffs, and students of I B.Com and II BA were present.
Students of I B.Com Miss. Haleemath Ajmina was the master of ceremony, Miss. Fathimath Sabeeda welcomed the guest, Miss. Anagha.R.U enhanced the ambience of knowledge by leading the gathering towards prayer,Miss.Shaanya palan proposed vote of thanks.

On the date of 29/03/2019 Department of Economics organised guest talk on “KARNATAKA ECONOMY AND PERSPECTIVES”. Dr. Prabhakara Shihila, retired principal of Nehru Memorial College, sullia is invited as a resourse person. Mr. Thippeswamy D H, course coordinator of Arts, presided over the function. Mr. Vishnuprashanth B, HOD, Department of Economics Organised this programme. Miss. Aksha K, Mr. Rakesh Naik K and staffs of other department were present in the programme. Miss. Sinchana of III BA welcomed the gathering and Mr. Vinithkumar of III BA proposed the vote of thanks.

Report on Industrial Visit
On the date of 6th April 2019 Department of Economics and Economics and Planning Forum conducted one day industrial visit program to CAMPCO Pvt.(L). A team of 20 students from final BA and 2 lecturers visited the industry. The industrial visit organized and led by Mr. VishnuPrashanth B, HOD, Department of economics and staffs.
During the visit time the guide gave all kind of information regarding the products and its marketing. Students were came to know different kind of products produced in the factory. Students well interacted with the guide and obtained lot of information regarding manufacturing and marketing of the products.

Nehru memorial college sullia has organized one day community oriented programme about Self Employment Training on 24/03/2016 at Military Colony , jayanagara , Sullia . Navyashree welcomed the Guest and the students were attend the programme . Guest Shridhar Kumble was the guest who Trained the members of the Military Colony . At the end of programme Lavanya did the vote of thanks.

VANAMAHOTHSAVA
Economics and planning forum organized vanamohtsava program on 21.07.2019 at Govt. High school Dugaladka. Smt. Sheelavathi Madhava, formar president, sullia nagara panchayath, invited as chief guest to the program and she opined that in the preset era forests are taking significant role in cool the environments and wished best to the program. Progrssive farmer Mr. Madhava Dugaladka , is also invited as the guest to the program and he expressed his experience and achievements in the field of agriculture. Mr. Manohar, President, SDMC, Govt high school, Dugaladka is presided over the program. Mr. Subrahmanyah athyadi, Head Master, Govt High school, Dugaladka, Mr. Yatheesh, Mr. Vishnuprashanth B, HOD, Department of Economics, NMC Sullia were seated in the stage. Miss Kavya did the prayer, Mr. Lohith welcomed the gathering and Mr. Rakesh Naik K, Lecturer, Department of economics, NMC sullia proposed the vote of thanks.
Nearly 60 Students were presented in the program, around 120 number of different kinds of plants were planted over the day and 2 soak pits were created for the benefit of the school.

COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION PROGRAM
On the date of 28/09/2019, Saturday the department of economics organized community participation program ‘WEALTH FROM WASTE’ at Govt. primary school at Pailar. The program begins with prayer sung by Miss. Smitha. Mr. Narayana Kothuguli, President, Dharmasthala Self-help Group sullia presided over the program and opined that, training is needed to every person to earn their self-income. Smt. Manorama Kadapala participated as a resource person of the program and she trained the all the delegates to preparing of mates with using of old sarees and cloth meterials. Mr.Medappa welcomed the gathering, Miss. Yakshitha P, Shaurya Yuvathi Mandala, Pailar Proposed the vote of thanks and Mr.Lohith Mastery over the program. The different games were arranged for all the delegates at end of the program.

Principal of Nehru Memorial College Dr. K.Giridhara Gowda presided over the function and expressed his words as “All Economic works of Dr. Prabhakara Shishila are spread over Karnataka”. Head of the department of Economics Mr. Vishnuprashanth B were seated on the dais.
On this occasion Dr. Prabhakara Shishila released two new text books titled “Macro Economics” and “SamagraArthashasthra” for I BA respectively. He expressed his concerns stating that “In the present global world, economics is creating its own demand; hence sound knowledge of the subject is very essential for commerce based jobs”.
Staff members of department of Economics Dr. Vijayalakshmi N.S and Miss.Aksha .K and all other Teaching and Non teaching staffs were presented in the program. Students of BA, Bcom, Bsc, BBA Students of the college participated as delegates. Ms. Manasa of Ist B.A enhanced the ambience of knowledge by leading the gathering towards prayer. Mr.Medappa of Ist B.A formally welcomed the gathering and Ms.Sinchana of IInd B.A proposed vote of thanks.
